Words from our Chair – Jen Taylor
Dear friends of Carnoustie Gala Committee,
I am the incoming chair of the committee and am very well aware of the incredibly big shoes I have to fill. As such, myself and the committee would like to thank Mary Bushnell for all her hard work and dedication to the Gala over the years.
We would like to invite local businesses, clubs, teams, and associations to enter a float or walking float in this year’s gala day parade. Our theme for this year’s gala is “My Carnoustie.”
We would also very much like to have the usual vintage tractors, buses, cars, bikes, or any other vehicle take part in this year’s parade.
The gala day programme will have the full parade route, which as usual shall end at the Carnoustie House Grounds for final judging. If you would like to advertise in this year’s programme, please contact the committee through the Contact Us tab.
We also hope to have local crafters and businesses along with charities and businesses and funfair taking stalls from us on gala day! If you would like a stall, please also contact the committee.
We are a non-profit-making organisation. The committee was established to raise, then distribute funds from their various fundraising activities held throughout the year. Those funds are distributed to local good causes, clubs, and associations.
If you could spare a couple of hours a month—why not join us on the committee? After all, many hands make light work and also ensure the success of many future gala days to come.
